Silk copies a lot of the layout ideas from iiSU (pages, tile sizing, that kind of thing). It is not iiSU. Separate app, Electron, desktop-only, built around PC games. If iiSU ships desktop later, cool — this is what I use in the meantime.

Windows is the main build. Linux is an AppImage with the same grid, minus some Windows-only bits like Xbox search and Wallpaper Engine. No Android, no iOS, no Steam Deck image yet.

Yes. No Pro tier, no launcher login required to play your games.

Not as a public repo. If you want to help or report something, Discord is the place.

Anything you already have a launcher or executable for. Steam, Xbox (Windows), emulator + ROM, or a manual shortcut. Silk does not include games.

No. Bring your own files. It will not help you pirate anything.

IGDB and SteamGridDB, plus whatever you drop in yourself. You can change tile art, logos, and page backgrounds per game.

Controller Start, or the keyboard hotkey (default Control+Shift+O, editable in Settings). Silk pops over the game and hides again when you dismiss it. Xbox Guide is owned by Game Bar and can’t be read.

Yes — Close Game on the running title. Silk tracks the real process (including Steam, after the “Now launching” popup), then restores the launcher.

UI navigation only happens when Silk is focused. Start is still watched so the overlay can open. Everything else is left to the game.

Not to launch games. Silk Connect is optional if you want friends and chat.

Yes. Don’t sign into Connect, and you can disable Discord/notification toasts in Settings.

Discord is the fastest path. Include OS, Silk version, and what you clicked.

Use it, report bugs, share themes, hang out in Discord. There’s no storefront or tip jar on the site yet.
